The Department of Earth and Environmental Geosciences at Colgate University invites applications for a visiting Assistant Professor position in structural geology, beginning in spring 2026. Highly competitive candidates with a completed Ph.D. may be considered for an earlier appointment, starting in fall 2025. The initial appointment will last through spring 2027, contingent on satisfactory teaching in the 2025-2026 academic year, with potential renewal based on department needs and teaching effectiveness.
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in geoscience or a closely related field by the start date. Note that Colgate will not sponsor visas or work authorization for this position.
