Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Communication (granted by start date).
  • Proven track record in both teaching and deploying innovative pedagogical strategies in University-level teaching as the primary instructor or instructor of record.
  • Demonstrated teaching and/or research expertise in Group Dynamics, Professional Communication, and/or Media Effects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with course management systems (e.g., Blackboard Ultra or similar).
  • Experience teaching large lectures.
  • Experience teaching writing-intensive courses.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This position is a full-time, nine-month position for an initial duration of one year, renewable for up to two additional years (three years total), contingent on satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, and availability of funds.

The successful candidate’s academic appointment will be at the Storrs campus.
