Job summary

Visiting Angels Greenville & Anderson, SC, is looking for compassionate In Home Aides to provide non-medical senior care in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties. This role is perfect for those who are dedicated to assisting seniors and love to provide personal, one-on-one care.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, working vehicle, and current insurance.
• Flexibility with schedules per client needs.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transport clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.

Skills

One year proven experience as an in-home caregiver

Knowledge of DME such as Hoyer lift

Excellent knowledge of emergency response

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up‑to‑date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in‑home caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, active listening between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

• One year proven experience as an in‑home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as Hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
