Job summary

FamilyForward is seeking a part-time Family Engagement Specialist to supervise court-ordered visitation sessions and coach parents. You will monitor interactions, document observations, and coordinate scheduling with families and case managers.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, as is the ability to travel to different sites in the service area, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check on hire and annually.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and facilitate visits between youth in foster care and biological parents, providing guidance and education to parents.
• Maintain professional standards during visitation and document observations objectively.
• Prepare timely, accurate, objective documentation of visitation activities per agency, contractual, and court requirements.
• Coordinate visitation schedules with families and other parties, respond to scheduling changes and cancellations.
• Maintain communication with case managers, foster parents, and families regarding scheduling, transportation, and service needs.
• Transport children safely to and from court-ordered visits and other approved locations.
