University of Minnesota Physicians in Minneapolis is hiring Medical Assistant or LPN positions to support Mill City Clinic. You will handle patient registration, front-desk tasks, and preparation of exam areas while assisting clinicians and care teams during visits.

Typical duties include collecting health information, guiding patients, and ensuring a smooth patient experience in a community-focused clinic.

What you will do?

• Responsible for patient registration, answering phones and monitoring the clinic lobby
• Checks-in patients for clinic services according to scripts and clinic process
• Completes registration process, prints labels and prepares new patient registration as requested
• Prepare examination and procedure areas for patients appointment
• You will play a meaningful role in supporting providers and patients during their clinic visits.
• Monitoring clinic schedules, greeting and guiding patients to their examination room, and collecting pertinent medical information for their health records.
• Act as valued partner in delivering an outstanding patient experience by coordinating and communicating with other members of the health care team, including nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and physicians, among others.
• Depending on scope of certification or license, some employees will be assisting with minor in office procedures, giving injections and immunizations and other laboratory/sample collections.

What you will need?

• As a Medical Assistant (MA): Possess a Medical Assistant Diploma with proof of completion of a 160-hour externship, OR hold AAMA Certification OR AMT Registration.
• As an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license

Compensation: 22.92 - 35.19 USD Hourly

If selected for hire, compensation and job classification will be individually determined based on a candidate’s specific background, including licensure, certifications, and experience level.

Location: 901 2nd St SE., Zenith Condominum Building Suite A, Minneapolis MN

Hours: 1.0 FTE, Monday - Friday, 40 hour per week
