The Gamm Theatre in Rhode Island seeks an Executive Director to serve as the nonprofit's senior administrator and strategic leader, partnering with the Artistic Director and Board to steward operations, finances, facilities, and community partnerships.

The role emphasizes donor engagement, fundraising strategy, and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and audience-centered programming while guiding long-term sustainability and civic impact.

Qualifications

• Nonprofit leadership experience required.
• 5–10 years in senior leadership preferred.
• Fundraising experience including donor cultivation.
• Strong financial management and budgeting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and board relations skills.
• Ability to lead across departments and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and organizational focus.
• Oversee budgeting, accounting, and financial controls.
• Develop and implement fundraising systems and major gifts.
• Direct Marketing, Education, Operations, and Development teams.
• Collaborate with the Board to ensure governance excellence.
• Strengthen community partnerships and civic engagement.
• Align artistic vision with financial sustainability.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
