Job summary

The New Hartford Public Schools Board of Education seeks an outstanding educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools. EdAdvance will facilitate the search on behalf of the Board of Education.

The Search Committee's goal is to have the new superintendent assume the responsibilities no later than February 1, 2027. The district offers a three-year contract with compensation ranging from $175,000 to $200,000. The district is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Instructional leadership, curriculum expertise, and student achievement
• Strong financial, management, and resource allocation skills
• Effective communication, relationship-building, and ethical leadership
• Data-informed decision-making, measurable goals, and accountability for results
• Knowledge of Connecticut education law, policy, and reform
• Experience working with a Board of Education, supporting policy implementation, and reporting progress on district goals
• Ability to lead long-term strategic planning and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated success improving student learning outcomes
