Job summary

Jackson County Library District (OR) is seeking a professional, proactive Library Director to provide strategic, administrative, and operational leadership for JCLS. The ideal candidate will build trust with staff, partners, and the community while advancing a five-year strategic plan and serving as a visible ambassador for the district.

Located between Portland and San Francisco, the district serves 220,000 residents with 15 libraries and a $17 million budget.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum seven years supervisory/leadership experience in a public library.
• Strong collaboration with Board and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop district vision, goals, and strategic objectives with the Board.
• Oversee operational priorities and policies; support the board.
• Cultivate relationships with the community and organizations; fundraise with Foundation.
• Prepare and oversee annual budget and oversee facilities and services.
