Job summary

The LGBTQ Center Long Beach seeks an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership and strategic oversight for its programs, staff, and community impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successor will advance equity, diversity, and inclusion while ensuring fiscal responsibility and program excellence.

The role requires strong fundraising, governance, and community partnership skills to support the Center’s mission.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of organizational management experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Ability to convey the center's mission and needs to broad audiences.
• Experience developing and implementing short- and long-term strategic planning.
• Understanding of LGBTQ community issues and needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and direction to staff and volunteers.
• Advise the Board of Directors and align programs with strategic goals.
• Oversee fundraising efforts, partnerships, and donor relations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and sound fiscal management.
• Expand fundraising capacity and organizational footprint.
