Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks an innovative, collaborative leader to serve as Executive Director of Early Learning & School Readiness. This role provides strategic direction for birth‑to‑five initiatives and builds partnerships to ensure all children are ready for kindergarten and beyond.

The Executive Director will align programs with district priorities, supervise senior staff, and drive continuous improvement through data‑driven decision making and strong community engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of combined educational and administrative experience.
• At least two (2) years of direct experience in the development of early learning programs.
• System-level PreK-12 experience preferred.
• Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of GCPS' early learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with district leadership, schools, families, and community partners to ensure readiness for kindergarten.
• Lead curriculum development, instructional programming, and alignment to AKS-like standards.
• Oversee budget, staffing, and program evaluation across early childhood services.
• Represent GCPS in cross-divisional units and with external stakeholders.
