The role focuses on advancing single-molecule methods, instrument design, software, and accessibility for non-experts within the department and institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in single-molecule fluorescence microscopy, leadership of major projects, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline is required.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field are required with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience managing mid-large teams in a leadership capacity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Center activity to ensure staff are efficiently tasked and data is managed.
• Lead planning and implementation of experimental strategies and next-gen instruments.
• Oversee development of software tools for instrument control, data analysis, and project management.
• Lead collaborations with St. Jude laboratories to apply single-molecule methods to diverse systems.
• Design instrumentation innovations in surface chemistry, fluorophore engineering, and microfluidics.
