Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking an Imaging Sciences Fabrication and Design Core Director to plan, build, and manage a state-of-the-art fabrication and instrumentation core.

You will lead a small team, drive space renovations, and oversee equipment procurement while coordinating with department leadership and stakeholders. The role emphasizes leadership, project management, and strategic design of core operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline is required.
• Significant leadership experience managing mid-large teams and projects.
• Experience with machining and 3D printing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, build and run a state-of-the-art fabrication and instrumentation core.
• Recruit, train and manage a 2–4 person team.
• Oversee space renovations, equipment procurement and maintenance.
• Develop sustainable financial and operational structures for the core.
• Collaborate across departments to maximize shared knowledge and efficiency.
• Maintain budget planning and stakeholder communications.
