The successful candidate will advance the university’s Preeminence 2030 agenda, foster inclusive excellence, expand extramural funding, and strengthen partnerships with industry, government, and communities

Qualifications

PhD in agriculture, environmental sciences, or related discipline.
Qualifications for tenure as full professor or equivalent.
At least three years of senior leadership and administrative experience.
Experience as chief officer (dean, chair/head, director) or similar.
Evidence of successful fundraising activity and grantsmanship.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to student success, inclusion, and broadly informed education.
Demonstrated record of extramural funding and curriculum design.

Responsibilities

Serve as chief executive officer of CAES, providing strategic and operational leadership.
Oversee budget, programs, departments, and external engagement.
Lead fundraising efforts, partnerships, and advancement activities.
Cultivate faculty and staff excellence and inclusive innovation.
Represent CAES to industry, government, alumni and partners.
