PEAK Grantmaking seeks a seasoned President & CEO to lead the organization in Washington, guiding strategic direction, governance, and stakeholder engagement. The role emphasizes equity, capacity building, and sustainable funding while advancing the mission of equitable grantmaking.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, partner with the Board, and strengthen PEAK’s resilience in a dynamic philanthropic landscape, ensuring value for members and funders alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in nonprofit/philanthropy.
• Strong equity-centered, values-driven leadership.
• Experience designing and guiding financial strategy, budgets, and funding.
• Proven ability to build and sustain diverse, high-performing teams.
• Strong communication with funders, partners, and members.
• Experience leading remote teams and cultivating an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of PEAK’s strategic vision with staff, Board, and members.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear goals, operational plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor trends in philanthropy, nonprofit operations, equity, and knowledge management to keep PEAK at the forefront.
• Ensure long-term financial health through disciplined management, planning, and revenue strategy.
• Oversee membership revenue, earned income, sponsorships, and philanthropic support.
• Build robust relationships with funders and partners grounded in transparency and mutual value.
• Monitor cost performance and value creation to inform decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and support a talented staff team, fostering a human-centered culture of trust, accountability, learning, and collaboration.
• Champion equity, inclusion, and transparency in operations and leadership.
