Prince George's County Government seeks a Vision Zero Program Coordinator (Planner 1A) to join the Office of the Director in Largo, MD. This role supports coordination, outreach and implementation of the Vision Zero Action Plan with emphasis on data‑driven development.

The position involves building partnerships with multiple county agencies, promoting Vision Zero goals to communities, and producing communications to inform the public and stakeholders about ongoing projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, urban design, public administration, economics, business administration, transportation planning, political science, environmental science, or other related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the Vision Zero Action Plan.
• Support data‑driven project development and prioritization within DPW&T.
• Develop partnerships with other County departments to promote Vision Zero goals.
• Identify community leaders and networks for effective promotion of Vision Zero strategies.
• Monitor the DPW&T website for accuracy and provide visual/text updates as needed.
• Lead on communications and outreach strategies related to Vision Zero.
• Draft and edit Vision Zero press materials and position statements for consistency with the Department's mission.
• Plan and manage promotions and sub‑programs such as signage and awareness campaigns.
