Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC is seeking a motivated Inspection Specialist to join the Cell Inspection Department. This role focuses on ensuring product quality through vision system optimization and rapid troubleshooting within a safe, manufacturing facility.

The position welcomes both entry-level and experienced professionals with a strong technical aptitude. Expect responsibilities spanning machine operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a high-speed production environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Entry-level to 3 years experience; manufacturing/industrial equipment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge or interest in vision systems, image analysis, or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor 24/7 inspection machines (Electrode and Cell Inspection).
• Diagnose and resolve equipment errors to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate industrial cameras, lighting controllers, and sensors for defect detection.
• Monitor inspection results in real time and report findings to the team.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance per site schedule.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of defect detection logic and OEE.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintain digital maintenance logs.
