Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC is seeking an Inspection Specialist to operate and maintain high-speed inspection equipment in a 12-hour night-shift schedule on site. The role emphasizes vision-based defect detection and immediate trouble shooting to sustain production quality in a cleanroom environment.

Applicants should have an associate degree in a technical field and up to 3 years of related experience. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical field is required (recent graduates welcome).
• Entry level to 3 years in manufacturing or with industrial equipment is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: ensure 24/7 operation of all inspection machines (Electrode and Cell Inspection).
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve technical errors to minimize downtime.
• Vision System Calibration: align and calibrate cameras, lighting, and sensors for defect detection.
• Monitoring & Reporting: monitor inspection results and report findings to teams.
• Maintenance: perform routine and preventive maintenance per site schedule.
• Continuous Improvement: help optimize defect detection logic and equipment efficiency.
• Inventory & Documentation: manage spare parts inventory and log maintenance activities.
