Job summary

HLBMA LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking an entry-level Vision Systems Engineer I to support the inspection process across cell and electrode production. You will work with production, quality, and engineering teams to maintain inspection accuracy and improve detection capability, under supervision of senior staff.

This role offers hands-on experience with automated vision inspection equipment, and potential progression into more advanced systems responsibilities within a growing battery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Equivalent technical education, military technical training, or an Associate degree with relevant hands-on experience may also be considered
• Experience with automated inspection equipment, machine vision systems, or optical inspection preferred

Responsibilities

• Support preventive maintenance for cell and electrode inspection equipment, including maintenance scheduling and performance tracking.
• Adjust inspection equipment parameters to support daily production.
• Improve inspection machine accuracy and detection capability.
• Enhance reliability and performance of inspection equipment.
• Assist with installation schedules for vision system equipment on inspection lines.
• Distribute installation schedules to production teams, headquarters, and vendors.
• Support development and application of new inspection technologies.
• Review and plan inspection machine model development and changes.
• Maintain inspection machine standards and related documentation.
• Maintain inspection information management system and related records.
• Create and revise Process Flow Diagrams and manuals (BM, PM, PD).
• Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and inspection results.
• Prepare daily production reports with improvements and KPIs for distribution.
• Help develop training materials and skill development plans for inspection equipment.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and fire regulations.
• Maintain reliable on-site attendance and a clean, compliant work area.
• Support ongoing duties as assigned
