Job summary

Versant Health is hiring a Technician, Finishing Lab (A) to verify lens options are applied and to insert lenses into frames using hand tools according to work instructions. The position supports the finishing area with basic upkeep and quality checks.

The role involves prioritizing workflow by color code, securing lenses, aligning frames, and performing cosmetic inspections to ensure high-quality eyewear for patients.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read English to understand written procedures and warnings.
• Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize tray processing flow as dictated by color code system.
• Properly insert/secure lenses, visually align, set and torque small eyeglass screws.
• Adjust frames (heat/cool) and complete 4-point alignment.
• Use seg aligner to ensure that multifocal are properly aligned.
• Verify all lens options (tint, ultraviolet, edge, polish and safety stamp).
• Complete cosmetic inspection of all eyewear.
• Place completed tray in proper color coded areas on the work bench.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workstations and facility.
• Comply with Quality Management System, safety and hazardous materials procedures.
