BRINSON MEMORIAL ELEMENTARY in New Bern, NC, part of Craven County Schools, seeks an Educational Interpreter/Transliterator I (Vision Impaired). Reports to the Exceptional Children's Director. Terms: Full Time, Twelve Months.

Starting Date: Immediately. Pay Range: NC Salary Schedule (commensurate with experience) plus Local Supplement. Qualifications: two year degree or equivalent; EIPA score 3.5; experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred.

Competenze

• Two year degree or equivalent required.
• EIPA score 3.5 required.
• Experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred.

Mansioni

• Transliterate/interpret in classrooms or school activities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student communication.
• May teach basic sign language to students or staff.
