Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced teaching role.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate required or eligible for certification in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction in all areas of development for visually impaired students.
• Coordinate IEPs and collaborate with support staff and families.
• Assess student progress and maintain documentation (IEP, progress notes).
• Supervise para-educators and ensure appropriate classroom supports.
• Promote inclusive teaching strategies and adapt materials for individual needs.
