Job summary

FoundCare, Inc. is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support optometrists with examinations, diagnostic tests, and patient education. Qualifications

• Knowledge of eye anatomy and ophthalmic testing procedures.
• Ability to operate diagnostic ophthalmic equipment safely and accurately.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and EHR/practice management systems.

• Willingness to travel to other FoundCare locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of FoundCare.
• Conduct preliminary patient assessments and visual acuity testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations and ensure comfort.
• Perform diagnostic testing as directed by the optometrist.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and assist with contact lens fittings.
• Educate patients on eye health and care.
• Assist with eyewear orders and frame/lens selection.
• Maintain organized optical dispensing area and clean facilities.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and patient records.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
