Job summary

Community Health Centers, Inc. seeks an Optometric Technician to deliver first-class customer service and support pre-screening exams, patient data entry, and exam room operations. You will help with eyewear ordering, repairs, and frame selection, while maintaining inventory and hygienic spaces.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification within 30 days. At least 1 year of optical/tech experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current/valid BLS certification, or obtained within 30 days.
• Minimum 1 year experience in optical/tech field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-screening exam/testing
• Maintain clean, hygienic work area and exam room
• Prepares referrals, follow-up paperwork and tasks
• Assist in ordering of eyewear and repairs/adjustments
• Assist patients in selecting frames per insurance
• Assist in dispensing eyewear and inventory
• Follow policies to improve optical center efficiency
• Complete additional projects as assigned by Optometric Coordinator
