Job summary

EssilorLuxottica's Southeast Eye Group Blairsville is seeking a full-time optical assistant to help patients select eyewear, take measurements, order and fit lenses. You will guide customers, ensure precise fitting, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced practice.

The role emphasizes ABO-certified optics knowledge, strong communication and multitasking skills. Weekend/evening shifts may be required; competitive total rewards, health benefits and discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• ABO certification required or maintained.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic optics knowledge and dispensing/fitting eyewear.
• Familiarity with POS and patient record software.

Responsibilities

• Custom fits glasses and places prescriptions in lenses.
• Lead in optical knowledge and guide peers.
• Take measurements, adjust eyewear, ensure accuracy.
• Ask questions to understand patient needs.
• Support complex product and prescription requirements.
• Use practice tools and follow company procedures.
• Meet KPIs and deliver exceptional service at dispense.
