Job summary

Centific is a frontier AI data foundry pushing the boundaries of perception, 3D understanding, and embodied AI. We seek an AI Research Engineer to own high‑leverage experiments from paper to prototype to deployable module within our platform, focusing on 2D/3D vision, VLMs, and robotics.

You will work with state‑of‑the‑art tools (NVIDIA Omniverse, GR00T, Isaac Sim, ROS2) to advance perception, reasoning, and action in real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

• M S/PhD in CS/EE/Robotics with active publications in CV/ML/Robotics (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV, NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR, CoRL/RSS).
• Strong Python and PyTorch experience; familiarity with CUDA profiling and mixed precision training.
• Proven ability to move from paper to code to ablations with reproducible results.

Responsibilities

• Advance Visual Perception: build and fine-tune models for detection, tracking, segmentation (2D/3D), pose & activity recognition, and scene understanding.
• Multimodal Reasoning with VLMs: train/evaluate vision–language models, design retrieval-augmented and agentic loops.
• Physical AI & Embodiment: prototype perception-in-the-loop policies in simulation and real data; integrate with planners and graphs.
• Data & Evaluation at Scale: curate datasets, define KPIs, run ablations for robust results.
• Systems & Deployment: package research into reliable services on Kubernetes/Docker/Ray/FastAPI with telemetry and CI.
