Job summary

CACI is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer in the United States to apply interdisciplinary engineering skills for planning, integration, and validation of infrastructure solutions. The role requires virtualization knowledge, scripting, Linux, and complex architectures, with onsite work in a classified environment.

The engineer will design, implement, and troubleshoot a VMware-based virtualized environment, automate configurations with PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python, and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (Must be US Citizen).
• Ability to work onsite in a classified environment at the laboratory.
• Working knowledge of VMware and VM configuration.
• Proficiency with Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu).
• Scripting knowledge: PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, Python.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Troubleshoot complex problems independently.
• Understanding of system of systems concepts, IaaS, and complex architectures.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of engineering principles and best practices.
• Ability to explain facts, policies and practices related to virtualized infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and troubleshoot the system’s virtualized environment using VMware.
• Support the design and implementation of VM configurations based on system requirements, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and implement network architecture according to specifications and requirements
• Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python to automate system configuration and deployment.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to resolve technical issues and share knowledge.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the system of systems architecture, IaaS components, and complex system interdependencies.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems.
• Support systems integration activities for the virtualized environment.
