A leading company in Jersey City is seeking a Virtualization Systems Engineer to guide the transition from OpenStack to a virtual infrastructure using OpenShift. This hands-on role focuses on implementing automation, optimizing performance, and executing deployments in a fast-paced environment. Strong experience with container technologies like Kubernetes is essential, making it a great opportunity for skilled engineers.
Location: Jersey City, NJ (5 Days Onsite – EST Zone Relocation Accepted)

OpenShift
Kubernetes (K8s)
Virtualization Technologies (VMware highly preferred)

We are seeking experienced Virtualization Systems Engineers to help lead the transition from OpenStack to a virtual infrastructure using OpenShift. You will be joining the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team focused on Private Cloud initiatives. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role within a fast-paced environment.
Implement VM automation and orchestration using OpenShift
Collaborate on bare metal provisioning, compute, storage, and networking
Perform performance testing of VMs
Execute large-scale deployments using OpenShift
Work with major vendors like Broadcom
Optimize server/device performance in a Private Cloud context
Automate infrastructure processes for scale and efficiency
KVM, KubeVirt, Hyper-V
S3 object storage experience
vSphere, ESXi, VCF, vRealize, Nutanix, NSX-T
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Express configurations using code
Hands-on experience migrating from OpenStack to virtual environments
Strong knowledge of networking within Kubernetes environments
