Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer – Virtualization to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This is a hands-on engineering role, responsible for supporting and deploying virtualization platforms with a strong focus on Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and VMware. The ideal candidate will have deep infrastructure experience, be familiar with storage integrations, and have automation knowledge related to deployment and operations—not development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with virtualization technologies including VMware and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Manage and support the virtualization stack and related infrastructure.
• Perform testing and deployments of virtualization platforms (VMware/OpenShift).
• Install and automate deployment of Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
• Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with storage solutions.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to streamline deployment processes.
• Use Python scripting as part of automation and deployment (basic to intermediate level).
• Understand and manage OpenShift Operators and their roles in platform lifecycle.
• Contribute to infrastructure design and architecture—not development.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong Linux background – core foundation of this role.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift – installation and management.
• Solid experience with VMware virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of and hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ability to design automation workflows – not full-scale development, but ability to use tools like Python for scripting.
• Familiarity with integrating Kubernetes platforms with storage technologies.
• Exposure to OpenShift Operators and their usage.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic to intermediate Python scripting experience.
• Knowledge of storage technologies such as block, file, and object storage.
• Experience working in large-scale, production-grade virtualization environments.
