Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations, assessments, and screenings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other required school-based meetings
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed

Schedule: Full-Time | 35 Hours per Week (7 Hours per Day)

Position Overview

Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to provide speech and language services to students during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative educational environment while supporting students' communication, academic, and social development.

Specific school assignment(s) and caseload details will be determined by the district based on staffing needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations, assessments, and screenings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations

Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • School-based experience preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
  • Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
  • Must complete all required Jefferson Parish Human Resources documentation
  • Background check and any additional district credentialing requirements
