Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School is seeking a Coordinator of Special Education to lead compliance, instructional quality, and delivery of services across the school. You will provide strategic leadership across intake, placement, service delivery, and staff support.

Reporting to the Director of Special Education, you will translate IDEA and PA requirements into practical procedures, coach staff, and partner with families to promote timely, equitable access and measurable student growth.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania special education certification required.
• Supervisor of Special Education or K-12 Principal certification preferred.
• Five+ years of special education teaching experience; virtual charter school experience ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach special education staff and paraprofessionals.
• Review IEPs, ensure timelines and proper documentation.
• Oversee evaluation timelines and related services coordination.
• Manage assistive-technology processes and service delivery.
• Support onboarding, compliance, and continuous improvement.
