Pennwood Cyber Charter School is seeking a mission-driven Coordinator of Special Education to lead compliance, instructional quality, and service delivery across the school. You will supervise teachers, coordinate evaluations, and support families while ensuring timelines and documentation meet state and federal requirements.

The role requires PA certification, multiple years of special education and virtual-school experience, and strong data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Supervisor of Special Education certificate or K-12 Principal certification.
• At least five years of special education teaching experience.
• At least three years of experience in a virtual charter school environment.
• Experience supervising staff and serving as the Local Education Agency representative in IEP meetings.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Chapter 711, and Section 504; strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership, Supervision, and Coaching: coach teachers, supervise staff, provide feedback, lead program-improvement initiatives.
• IEP Review, Placement, and LEA Representation: review IEPs, ensure timelines, represent LEA in IEP meetings.
• Evaluation and Related Services Oversight: coordinate assessments and service delivery, verify compliance.
• Assistive Technology and Service Delivery: maintain AT inventory, evaluate requests, train staff on AT.
• Onboarding, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement: ensure training, oversee onboarding processes, monitor compliance and data-driven improvements.
