Job summary

Stepful, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN educator to deliver synchronous didactic instruction for our Ohio practicum program. The role is fully remote on a 1099 contract with evening hours, aligned to scheduled class times and offering flexible teaching opportunities.

• 2+ years of experience as faculty in an RN or LPN education program.
• Specialty clinical experience in pediatrics, obstetrics, and/or maternal health.
• 2+ years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, with 5+ years of varied nursing experience across clinical practice, nursing education, and/or administration.
• Master's degree in nursing (MSN).
• Active, unencumbered Ohio RN license.

The opportunity:

Are you an experienced RN and nursing educator with a specialty in obstetrics, maternal health, and pediatrics looking for meaningful, flexible contract work? Stepful is seeking a Virtual Didactic Instructor to deliver synchronous online instruction for our Board of Nursing–approved Practical Nursing program in Ohio.

This is a fully remote, 1099 contract role — teach from anywhere, as long as you hold an active Ohio RN license (or a compact state license that includes Ohio) and are available during our scheduled class times. It’s a great fit for experienced nursing educators, including those currently teaching in adjunct roles, who want flexible contract teaching work that fits around their schedule.

Schedule & Logistics:
Didactic sessions take place Monday through Thursday, 4:30–7:00pm ET. This is a fully virtual role — no travel or on-site presence required. If you’re based in the Columbus, Ohio area and interested in teaching in‑person skills labs in addition to didactic instruction, there may be opportunities for that as well.

What you’ll do:

The hourly pay rate for this opportunity is $50.00/hour. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
