Job summary

Stepful, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instructor to join our Practical Nursing program in the Toledo, Ohio area. This onsite role guides students through in-person clinical rotations, helping them translate classroom learning into real-world nursing practice at our partner facility.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, 2+ years of RN teaching experience, and an active Ohio RN license, with a proven ability to collaborate with faculty and students in a dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of faculty experience in an RN or LPN education program.
• 2+ years of professional RN experience; 5+ years across clinical practice, education, or administration.
• Active, unencumbered Ohio RN license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise in-person clinical rotations at partner facilities in the Toledo, OH area.
• Deliver curriculum content and provide timely feedback to students.
• Act as a subject matter expert in practical nursing education.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Instructor to join Stepful and support our Board of Nursing–approved Practical Nursing program. In this role, you will guide and supervise students during in-person clinical rotations, helping them build hands‑on nursing skills and apply classroom knowledge in real‑world healthcare settings as they prepare for clinical practice and licensure.

Instruction takes place onsite in the Toledo, Ohio area, at our partner healthcare facility.

What you’ll do

• Lead and supervise in‑person clinical rotations at partner healthcare facilities in the Toledo, Ohio area

• Deliver curriculum content, answer student questions, and provide timely feedback

• Act as a subject matter expert in practical nursing education

• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years of experience as faculty in an RN or LPN education program

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, with 5+ years of varied nursing experience across clinical practice, nursing education, and/or administration

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)

• Active, unencumbered Ohio RN license

• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners

Bonus points if

• You have specialty experience in pediatrics and/or OBGYN

The target base salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $95,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.

Please note we do not have a bonus structure at this time so all cash compensation will come in the form of base salary. The total compensation package will also include our benefits package and an equity (ISOs) package.
