Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a virtual teacher of record for Ohio, delivering live lessons, setting up courses in the LMS, and guiding students toward state accountability goals. This online position includes occasional in-person travel for state testing and student events.

You will differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with families, collaborating with the Principal and a network of instructors to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Ohio for the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years of teaching experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Deliver live lessons via web conference.
• Set up courses in the LMS for each course.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Prepare Progress Reports with the Principal.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Travel to support required in-person state testing annually.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to non-instructional activities.
