ACCEL Schools seeks an online Ohio teacher to serve as teacher of record, delivering live lessons and managing LMS course setup. Travel is required for state testing and events.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Preferred two years experience teaching
• Comfort in growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks
• Experience in multi-cultural settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily
• Track and maintain contact with each student
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports
• Review student level data to inform instructional adjustments
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Utilize research-based best practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching daily
• Implement school-wide culture expectations inside and beyond the classroom
• Communicate regularly with families regarding growth
• Incorporate 21st century technology skills in daily practice
• Participate in planning of non-instructional activities and attend events
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually
• Perform other duties as assigned
