Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy in Duluth, GA is seeking certified teachers to support and motivate students through high-quality virtual instruction using the Pearson Online Classroom. Teachers deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction, provide intervention and enrichment, engage families, and use data to drive student learning and growth.

All GACA teachers must participate in required in-person activities across Georgia, including meetings, events, state assessments, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the content area or related field
• Georgia Clearance Certificate
• Must hold Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to GACA curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and collaborate within MTSS/RTI to plan Tier 2 and 3 interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accommodations are implemented with fidelity.
• Use assessment data to diagnose learning needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of assigned courses and K–12 curriculum pathways.
• Build relationships with students and families to support academic success.
• Provide timely feedback on all student work and assessments.
• Conduct parent conferences and update Personal Learning Plans.
• Administer, score, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments.
• Participate in Georgia state standardized assessments (in-person and virtual) and other assessments.
