Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks a certified middle school science teacher to join our Duluth, GA office and support students both on-site and from home across Georgia. You will deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction aligned to state standards, provide Tier 1 and MTSS interventions, and collaborate with families and staff to foster student growth.

Qualifications

• Possess a Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction.
• Must have a Georgia Clearance Certificate within the first 30 days of hire.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Experience in teaching or supporting Title I schools.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events (occasional overnight travel).
• Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support families.
• Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to GACA curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and collaborate within MTSS/RTI to plan and deliver Tier 2 and 3 interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure student accommodations are implemented with fidelity.
• Use assessment data to diagnose learning needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
• Maintain deep knowledge of assigned courses and general awareness of K-12 curriculum pathways.
• Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic success and engagement.
• Administer, score, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments.
• Participate in required Georgia state assessments in-person and virtual sessions.
