Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide virtual, telehealth therapy across Maryland. This 1099 independent contractor role supports children, adolescents, and adults with evidence-based modalities, including CBT and DBT.

Applicants must have a Master’s in a behavioral health field and active licensure in DC/MD/VA, with at least 3 years of experience and telehealth delivery. Flexible hours and a remote setup are available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Active independent clinical licensure in DC, MD, or VA; willingness to license in additional states.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical therapy experience with youth, adults, and diverse populations.
• Experience treating patients ages 13 and older.
• Experience providing telehealth services.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
• Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy via telehealth, using CBT/DBT modalities.
• Track client progress and update treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, PMHNPs, social workers, and case managers.
• Educate clients and families on conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and progress notes.
