Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist to deliver evidence-based therapy via telehealth from a virtual setting in Virginia. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support children, adolescents, and adults, ensuring comprehensive, person-centered care.

The role is a 1099 independent contractor, requiring licensure in WA, DC, MD, or VA, with flexible daytime, evening, or weekend hours and a focus on accessible behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active independent clinical licensure in WA/DC/MD/VA and willingness to get licensed in additional states.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to youth, adults, and individuals with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience treating patients ages 13 and older.
• Experience providing telehealth services.
• Familiarity with Athena One EHR and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
• Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy, e.g., CBT and DBT.
• Deliver care virtually via telehealth.
• Track client progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, PMHNPs, social workers, and other professionals.
• Communicate treatment plans, progress, and recommendations with clients and families.
