Job summary

Sobieski Estates Mechanical Systems is seeking a full-time Virtual Mechanical Designer for our Custom Home Division in Newark, DE. The designer will create efficient, code-compliant HVAC, hydronic, and plumbing systems for residential and select commercial projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and external design firms, using AutoCAD and Revit to deliver constructible, standards-aligned designs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Revit and Procore.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD and Revit design standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and report preparation.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes and AHJ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, hydronic, and plumbing systems for residential and select commercial projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external firms, architects, engineers, and builders.
• Support projects from conception through completion, ensuring constructibility and standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create and refine mechanical drawings and models.
