Caldwell County Schools Happy Valley School in Lenoir, NC is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers and help students learn, including virtual facilitation in collaboration with CCCT&I instructors and the APEX online program.

Responsibilities include supervising students on digital platforms, assisting with lessons, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating with parents and counselors.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or 48 college semester hours.
• Evidence of good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic understanding of digital tools related to classroom instruction.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.

Responsabilités

• Supervises groups of students participating in digital instructional platforms.
• Uses a variety of equipment and classroom tools (computers, copiers, calculators, digital tools).
• Interacts professionally with students and parents.
• Maintains confidentiality of student and school information.
• Works cooperatively with school personnel and parents.
• Performs non-instructional duties as assigned by administration.
• Operates learning aids and digital formats.
• Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments.
• Communicates instructions effectively to students and staff.
• Ensures safety and proper conduct of students.
• Updates progress and collaborates with counselors on student progress.
