We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sleep Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned.
• Gather and analyze patient information, review history, physical data, medications, and study protocols. Complete documentation and explain procedures to patients.
• Prepare and calibrate testing equipment, apply electrodes and sensors, perform physiologic calibrations, and fit PAP masks.
• Follow procedural protocols for polysomnographic studies, ensure data quality, and perform necessary adjustments.
• Document observations, implement interventions, and verify data integrity.
• Assist with sleep/wake scoring, clinical event scoring, and report generation.
• Maintain safety, infection control, equipment care, and inventory. Keep CPR/BCLS certifications current. Communicate effectively and respond to patient inquiries.

Additional Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain sleep study equipment and inventory.
• Explain procedures and orient patients for in-center or home sleep testing.
• Provide patient education for home sleep apnea testing.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a NYS OP License and current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist, or be a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Technician qualified for sleep tech services. At least 2 years’ experience in Polysomnography or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of an accredited sleep technology program or equivalent experience. Certification as RST, RPSGT, or SDS is preferred.

Effective communication skills are essential.
