Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks a High School Music Teacher to deliver engaging music instruction for high school students across Georgia, using a mix of synchronous online and in-person sessions. You will support families, monitor progress, and adapt lessons to meet state standards.

The role requires a Georgia teaching certification, a bachelor’s degree in music or a related field, and a valid Georgia clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in music education or related field is required.
Georgia teaching certification and a valid clearance certificate are required within 30 days of hire.
Music (P-12) certification and strong technology skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and state standards.
Provide differentiated instruction and collaborate within MTSS/RTI to plan interventions.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accommodations are implemented as needed.
Use assessment data to diagnose learning needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
Maintain knowledge of courses and K-12 curriculum paths.
Support parent conferences, progress updates, and communication with families.
