Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy is seeking a Teacher on Assignment for English (7-12 Certification) in Harrisburg, PA. The role manages instructional programs virtually when the classroom teacher is absent and is hired as a full-time staff member.

Responsibilities include grading, supporting asynchronous/synchronous sessions, teaching lessons, tracking progress, and maintaining records within the K-12 curriculum. Requires PA residency and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Teaching certificate in subject area preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all grading.
• Support instructional program with asynchronous sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Teach lessons and supervise virtual activities provided by the classroom teacher.
• Monitor completion of assignments.
• Assist students with learning day’s content.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure progress on daily lessons.
• Develop knowledge of the K-12 curriculum.
• Support students and parents with daily assignments and projects.
• Maintain student records and communications.
• Maintain a virtual school community established by the teacher.
• Participate in State Testing organization and administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
