Commonwealth Charter Academy seeks a Teacher on Assignment – Science (7-12 Certification) to virtually manage instructional programs in the absence of the classroom teacher, working from a Family Service Center in Harrisburg, PA.

This full-time role requires PA certification, a bachelor’s degree, and a willingness to travel between sites if needed, with duties including grading, facilitating online sessions, and supporting students and families as they work through daily lessons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and teaching certificate in subject area.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong MS Office and technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete all grading.
• Support instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Teach lessons and supervise virtual activities provided by classroom teacher.
• Monitor completion of assignments.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure students progress daily lessons.
