Job summary

Bayaan Academy in Maryland is seeking an Elementary Homeroom Teacher to deliver core subjects in a fully virtual environment. The role focuses on Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies, while fostering a classroom community grounded in Islamic values.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Education (Master's preferred) and experience with online or blended learning, using Canvas, PowerSchool, Kahoot, Kami.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education required.
Elementary teaching experience preferred.
Experience with online or blended learning assets.
Proficiency with Canvas LMS, PowerSchool, Wayground, Kahoot, and Kami.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Portfolio of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver lessons in Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies.
Create a positive virtual classroom environment.
Implement CCSS-aligned lesson plans across core subjects.
Use diverse instructional strategies and digital tools.
Assess student progress with formative and summative assessments.
Provide feedback to students and parents.
Communicate regularly with families.
Collaborate with grade-level teams.
