The VDC Team Lead is responsible for complex integrations of design and construction methodologies with Interstates projects, including data center work. This role works with little supervision alongside clients, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and manufacturing to optimize project outcomes through effective construction planning, coordination, and documentation strategies. The VDC Team Lead serves as a technical leader, helping guide project execution, constructability, and cross‑functional collaboration on large and complex projects.

A high school diploma or an associate degree (A.A., A.S.) in a relevant field such as Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a two‑year community college or technical college is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should have 7‑15 years of experience in virtual design and construction, project management, or a similar role, preferably within the electrical industry. Equivalent combinations of education and extensive relevant experience will also be considered. Ideal candidates will demonstrate advanced skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and CAD software, with a proven record of accomplishment in managing or leading teams in a virtual design environment. Experience with complex project coordination, cross‑functional team collaboration, and effective communication with stakeholders is essential for this leadership position.
Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Travel should not exceed 35% of your time.
The pay range for this position is $79,100 to $98,800+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The pay is determined by job related skills, training, education, and experience.
