Job summary

Lighthouse Electric is seeking a VDC Specialist to handle pre-construction tasks, BIM modeling, and shop drawing details. You will support continuous improvement of workflows and collaborate with project teams to resolve model issues and ensure accurate BIM data.

Initial roles cover VDC Specialist I–IV responsibilities with increasing mentorship, leadership, and technical contribution on large commercial projects.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read floor plans, sections and elevations.
  • Experience with BIM software and 3D modeling workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Produces, edits, and coordinates 3D object-oriented models.
  • Details fabrication and field installation shop drawings.
  • Participates in development and improvement of BIM workflows and standards.
  • Supports meetings for virtual construction, clash detection, and coordination.
