Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Virtual Design & Construction Intern to assist the project team with the digital delivery of construction projects. You will help develop the digital project management strategy to improve collaboration across activities, pursuits, and projects in the Construction market.
The internship requires pursuing a relevant degree, strong communication and analytical skills, and a desire to grow in the field.
The Virtual Design & Construction Intern assists with digital delivery of construction projects. This position will assist the project team and manager(s) in developing the digital project management strategy to further Burns & McDonnell's position and facilitate collaboration with activities, pursuits, and projects.

The Construction group is responsible for construction phase services in the design-build process and support for safety and health, estimating, pre-construction, field operations, quality and project management. This includes multiple project execution approaches, including self-perform, multi-subcontractor, construction only and program management.
Pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Virtual Design & Construction, Drafting & Design Technology, Building Information Modeling, Architecture, or related degree from an accredited program.
Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
