ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Virtual CTE Teacher - Construction for Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio who is dedicated to providing a superior education for all students in the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for teachers excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning, life skills, career-based interventions, and career development. ACCEL Schools utilizes a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum accessible online and through traditional methods.

At Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio, students in grades 6-10 will receive an online curriculum focused on career exploration, development, and college or career preparation. Join us to help students explore, grow, and learn in an innovative public-school setting at home. Note: While instruction is virtual, travel and face-to-face attendance are required several times per year for state testing and student events.

Eligibility: This position is open to Ohio residents.

About the Opportunity

The Virtual CTE – Construction Teacher will effectively educate high school students in accordance with school policies and governing standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the teacher of record and primary instructor for Construction Career Pathways.
• Teaching content following the school's curriculum, utilizing technology and various teaching methods.
• Delivering curriculum aligned with Career-Technical Education standards.
• Adapting and enriching curriculum using multiple strategies and online tools.
• Aligning material with ODE CTE standards and assessments.
• Guiding students through active participation in CTSO activities.
• Motivating students to meet attendance, academic, and behavioral goals.
• Maintaining a positive and safe classroom environment.
• Keeping accurate records of student progress and behavior.
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Participating in student recruitment, retention, and professional development activities.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

• Reside in Ohio
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Current Ohio CTE teaching license in construction or ability to obtain one
• Strong knowledge in Business and Technology
• Experience with project-based learning and RTI processes
• Prior online teaching experience
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Google Docs, MS Office, email, and internet
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for teaching and caring for children
• Ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure
• Ability to work with diverse student and peer groups
• Ability to pass background checks
